William Luo

William began his journey at Columbia GS during fall of 24, he is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Financial Economics (Class of 2028). Prior to Columbia, he served in the U.S. Army from 2018 to 2024, holding several high-responsibility positions across command headquarters such as Cultural Advisor, Protocol Officer, Executive Assistant, Budget Analyst, and Linguist. During the 24-25 academic year, he served as Director of Public Affairs for the MILVETS, planning coordinating, and executing engagement events and liaising with university leadership. In addition, he also served as a member of the food insecurity committee of the university. Since staring at GS, William have planned and executed numerous large events such as the Military Ball, Food drive, Campus Social, and Toys4tots drive, along with numerous smaller events, he also help mentor veteran applicants through the Service to School program. William joined the GSSC with a commitment on promoting and fostering a more positive and engaging campus culture, providing the best possible for the community.
