Mai First

Mai First is a first-year student in the Dual BA program with the Jewish Theological Seminary and the School of General Studies, studying Data Science at Columbia and Jewish Ethics at JTS. Originally from California, Mai brings with her a love for food, sunsets, and connecting with people - plus plenty of stories about her adorable dog, Honey.
Passionate about leadership and service, Mai has held thirteen positions over the past five years, each with growing responsibilities. Most notably, she served as Head of Community Service for a region of 800 teens in Silicon Valley, where she led a team in organizing more than 60 service events. For Mai, giving back to her community has always been a core value, and she is eager to bring that spirit of service to Columbia GSSC!
