Maeve Sheehan

Maeve Sheehan is a senior in the Dual BA with Trinity College Dublin and majors in Film and Media Studies and minors in Education. She is a native New Yorker whose strong cultural connections led her to Trinity and Columbia!

She spent her time in Ireland contributing creatively to Europe’s largest and most active drama society, the Dublin University Players. She was elected as the Publicity and Communications Manager for one year, handling graphic design, photography and weekly newsletters for the society’s productions, weekly events, and campus-wide festivals. Alongside this role, she publicized two plays in the Samuel Beckett Theatre and one that premiered at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Now at Columbia, she works part time as a Marketing and Communications Assistant for the GS Communications Office. She is involved in the theatre community here, as Social Media and Publicity Captain for the 131st Annual Varsity Show, as Social Media Supervisor for last year’s council, and as recently elected Vice President of the Columbia University Players. This summer, she is an intern for The Broadway League, working on their Digital Content team.

She’s excited to spend this year working with the E-board and communicating with the GS Student Body! And if she isn’t doing that, she’s probably trying to see as many Broadway shows as possible on a college student budget…
