Jeanne Fontaine

Jeanne is a senior in the Dual BA Program with Trinity College Dublin, where she is getting a bachelor's in Neuroscience and Behavior.

After growing up on Reunion Island, she decided to start her island-hopping journey to Dublin and then Manhattan. During her time at Trinity, Jeanne participated as an outreach communication officer for the Trinity Public Health Society while working part-time at the Student Union's Cafe. She was also involved in the Student-to-Student program, where she helped first years settle and thrive in their new academic environment.

Now at Columbia, she is pursuing theatre as the Social Chair of the CUPlayers, as well as being in the cast or crew of student-run productions. This past year, through her position as a Public Relations Coordinator, she volunteered for events around campus, including the GSSC snack attacks, Thanksgiving Diner, and Glass House Rock or Tree Lighting.

She also supports her peers as an Orientation Leader and a GS mentor. For her senior year, she started working as a Teaching Assistant for the psychology department and hopes to get students excited about the topics. In her free time, Jeanne enjoys watching movies, baking, and cross-stitching.

As Vice President of the Senior Class, she is excited to celebrate her fellow graduates and make sure they feel empowered to pursue their next step after college.
