Irene Souny Bihr

Irene Souny Bihr is a senior in the dual degree program between Sciences Po and Columbia University. After two years of studying Economics and Sociology in Le Havre, she is now majoring in Financial Economics with a minor in East Asian Studies.

She first joined council as Financial Coordinator last year, managing event budgets and navigating administrative hurdles. As the council’s go-to for all things finance, she was entrusted by the GS student body to serve as VP Finance for the upcoming year. In this role, she oversees the council’s budget and works to ensure students see tangible returns on their student life fees. This year, she’s launching with the council new pilot funds which promote student independence, well-being and greater opportunities for all GS students.

Outside of council, she’s passionate about finance, China, and film. She’s committed to making council transparent, useful, and welcoming, so feel free to reach out with questions, ideas, or just to say hi!
