Hannah Hasangwangmu
Hannah (Hasangwangmu) is a sophomore student majoring in Cognitive Science. Prior to Columbia, she spent over six years studying Chinese Classics across six different cities, including Beijing, Chengdu, and Hong Kong. Her experiences inspired her passion for equity, cultural exchange, education, and tech innovation.
As the inaugural Career Advancement and Networking Chair on the GSSC, Hannah is focused on strengthening connections between GS students, alumni, and professional networks. She is working to expand mentorship opportunities, career programming, and networking events that help students succeed both academically and professionally. By leveraging her leadership and campus involvement, she aims to enhance GSSC’s career resources, making them more accessible, impactful, and reflective of the diverse GS community.
Beyond her studies and council role, Hannah enjoys art and gaming, and you can probably catch her rolling on the mats with Columbia’s Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu club. She looks forward to connecting with more students and alumni, whether through professional events or just sharing a good conversation.
