Anand Shukla-Parekh

Anand is a junior in the Dual BA Program with Trinity College Dublin, studying philosophy and pursuing a pre-medical pathway at Columbia. He's passionate about civic engagement and access to education, and is very excited to pursue both of these interests as an academic advocate for GS students.

In the past, he's worked as a secretary for the Traditional Irish Music Society and as a Dual BA Representative for the Trinity College Dublin Student Union. He's committed to collaborative approaches to policy improvement, and believes that good policy originates from the community - so please reach out if you have any suggestions/problems to solve!

Outside of academics, Anand loves throwing himself into everything New York has to offer, whether it be chance encounters with interesting people at the Hungarian Pastry Shop poking around Greenwich Village for places associated with Bob Dylan, or finding hole-in-the-wall tea shops in Chinatown. He looks forward to working for the GS community this year!
