Adriana Podokshik

Adriana Podokshik is a freshman in the Dual BA program with the Jewish Theological Seminary and the School of General Studies, where she intends to major in Architecture and Jewish History. Born and raised in Brooklyn to immigrant parents from Ukraine and Belarus, she grew up exploring her passions which led her to Columbia.

Adriana was online-schooled from the age of eight in order to pursue a career in ballet, training daily while also finding ways to stay active in other communities. Beyond ballet, she became a leader in her school’s Model United Nations, investment club, and student ambassador program, which taught her many life-long skills about teamwork and leadership.

At Columbia, Adriana is continuing to explore her interests as a member of Club Tennis, the Columbia University Ballet Ensemble, and the Culinary Society. She is especially excited to serve as Technology Chair on GSSC, where she hopes to combine her creative background and technical skills to support and improve the GS community. When she isn’t studying or working, she can usually be found playing a sport, dancing, or finding good eats!
