Freida Candido

Freida is a senior majoring in Human Rights with a specialization in Political Science. She is passionate about social justice, advocacy, mediation, and conflict resolution. She transferred from Ventura College in Southern California where she served in several leadership roles including Director of Student Clubs & Organizations.

An enthusiastic member of Columbia GS since Fall 2021, Freida is excited to fill this new GSSC role. Her work will focus on better understanding and addressing the unique concerns of first generation, low income (FLI) and working GS students.

Freida is a very proud mom whose hobbies include creative writing, singing and travel.
